First BIG photoshoot

Yesterday my kind mother lent me her basement suite and me, a mua I know sam, My friend siobhan hairstylist extrordinaire, 3 photographers and 2 models made magic happen!!!

I have never worked so hard and had so much fun.  Everyone arrived at 10 am and left at 8:30 pm, it was a very long day and totally worth it in every way. The two models miquette and sarah were totally professional and the pictures from what I have seen prove it!   But they were also fun and while we were doing makeup and hair we were chatting and laughing and having a ball!

We did natural beauty, fashion and editorial shots.  I cant wait to get them back and post them for you readers!

This is basically a pre post before the wonder that will be the next photos I post.

Stay excited

OCC Lip Tars

What is it about these lip marvels by Obessive Compulsive Cosmetics that has got the world raving and Make Up Artists mixing like mad? Could it be the vast selection of 33 colors and counting, the insane amount of pigment that makes this gloss consistency product a dream and easy  to work with?  Or maybe its the fact that you only need about a lip brush amount full 0f product to do a whole lip, making it a fact that these 8 ml tubes will last an extremely long time.

Created by David Klasfield  Lip Tars are opaque glosses that dry to a matte satin finish. Each Lip Tar is packed with pigment and allows you to use the color straight out of the tube, or to mix your own colors for added creative room.

The Website Says: A stunning new innovation in lip color, OCC Lip Tar combines the longevity of a lipstick, with the ease of application of a gloss. Goes on slick and moist, and dries down to a satin finish. Ultra-saturated in color, Lip Tar contains an unprecedented amount of pigment – a little goes a very, very long way! An intense yet featherweight layer of color that stands up to the scrutiny of Hi-Def Video and Digital Photography, without ever looking (or feeling!) heavy. Meant to be mixed, Lip Tar comes in concise array of colors for a limitless selection of shades made by you!

Like all of our products, OCC Lip Tar is 100% Vegan and Cruelty-Free, and is also free of parabens and other harsh preservatives. A simple, elegant formula that contains Hemp Oil, Peppermint Oil and Vitamin E, OCC Lip Tar feels as good on the lips as it looks!

I say: If you haven’t tried them allready you should pick these amazing lip colors up!  I recently purchased clear, anime, nsfw, and grandma and have been more then impressed by their range, pigment and staying power!

Not Safe For Work red: Is the PERFECT red lip, you can use a lip brush full and get evenly covered beautiful red lips, which will last all evening.  I can see myself using these again and again in shoots and on clients (and maybe on myself on a night out every once in awhile 😉 )

Grandma: Is a true cool coral and a truly beautiful color, maybe even one of my favorites.

Anime:  A crazy HOT HOT Pink, you have to be very brave to pull this off, and it def works better on dark skin.  However its so bright and gorgeous I couldnt resist.

Clear:  Clear might be one of the most useful colors, you can use it as a gloss or mix pigments with it to make any color!

Long story short, these Lip Tars are my new favorite product and going to be a staple in my kit, and should be in yours as well.  But dont listen to me (and every other makeup artist I know freaking out about these things)  let the swatches decide for you
