“MILK” editorial in SugarKiss Magazine

Not long ago I did a shoot with photographer Kim Akrigg , who I have worked with a few times before. She recently relocated to Toronto, and it was great getting to do one final shoot before she moved.

Here are the end results of our collaboration, the model is Darian from Key Model Management, and it was published in SugarKiss Magazine.

IMATS post #1

As many of you may know I was involved in the Vancouver 2011 Imats last weekend.  I only went on the first day the saturday, and most of my day was spent being a contestant in the beauty/fantasy student competition.

I am planning on doing a big post about it tomorrow or the next day with product reviews/ a haul post detailing the stuff I got in my goody bag (EVE PEARL PALETTES ) and what I bought after It was all over.

As well as my side of the student competition and how it went down / how nervous I was/ What the other contestants were like.

I will however leave you with a quick video that my school did of their and my Imats Experience.

After 1:07, It is all me and the student competition.  Excuse the constant giggling I am camera shy.

Reverie Magazine In Beauty

I haven’t been keeping up with my posts lately.  In fact I haven’t posted in months and months.  I have been so busy finishing school, and really making a fresh firm jump with my career.

I was recently featured in Reverie Magazines: In Beauty Issue.  Ten page editorial, which was shot with the wonderful Jessica Luch as the photographer.  I was also featured with another 10 pages in the same magazine, for a beauty Q&A!

That’s right folks a 20 page spread for yours truly, and my first time being in print.

We shot at whitebox, which is a truly fantastic studio in Richmond, BC.  We worked with a local jewellery designer who creates aroha silhouettes,  the photos are also being featured as the new head banner on aroha silhouettes website.

Photos below!

More exciting news and product reviews to come..

I PROMISE!

Recent work with Ben Von Wong and the wonderful Kelsey Harker

I know I have more then neglected this blog and my readers for the past few months! I have been busy as a bee, building contacts, building my portfolio, building my website etc.

I will try to post more.  I just thought I would pop in and show you some wonderful photos from a recent photo shoot I did with Ben Von Wong of Montreal and Kelsey Harker who i have worked with before and did a lovely review on earlier in the year.

Without further ado here they are.  Two Looks! The hair was done by wonderful hairstylist Rhi Yee.  It was a quite boring wig which she turned into a geometrical masterpiece.  The blocked out eyebrows was actually the first look.  I added the eyebrows back in after.

I promise to do a review sometime in the next few days.

Photo Update

I finally got some photos back from my huge giant amazing photoshoot!   I know you all want to see them so without further ado here is miquette and sarah and some natural beauty makeup, + a smokey eye + some behind the scenes

This was all done in the kitchen in the basement suite at my moms house!

Enjoy

First BIG photoshoot

Yesterday my kind mother lent me her basement suite and me, a mua I know sam, My friend siobhan hairstylist extrordinaire, 3 photographers and 2 models made magic happen!!!

I have never worked so hard and had so much fun.  Everyone arrived at 10 am and left at 8:30 pm, it was a very long day and totally worth it in every way. The two models miquette and sarah were totally professional and the pictures from what I have seen prove it!   But they were also fun and while we were doing makeup and hair we were chatting and laughing and having a ball!

We did natural beauty, fashion and editorial shots.  I cant wait to get them back and post them for you readers!

This is basically a pre post before the wonder that will be the next photos I post.

Stay excited

❤ Chelsea

My first Photoshoot

I have been in school a month and quite obviously havent been keeping up with my blog.  So sorry readers!

A quick recap brings : I have been in school at John Casablancas for awhile now!  I have completed my first exam, though havent gotten the marks back from it.  Learned about makeup and the appropriate way to talk, and be around clients.  Learned more about skin then I ever wanted to know! Learned about eye shapes, face shapes, contouring, and what is what.

I have also done my very first photoshoot!

I was extremely lucky to work with my friend Kim Akrigg and model Tara from lexington models.  My first photoshoot was on an agency represented model with one of the most talented photographers I know!  I have allready started talking with a few other photographers in the area about shooting, and these pictures are allready starting to really get me in the door.

Without further ado I bring you: Tara and her butterflies
